Trying to Swim in Vice City
pov: me trying to swim in Vice City wasted!
A man in dark clothes struggles underwater while the Grand Theft Auto: Vice City HUD overlays the footage, ending with the iconic “wasted!” screen. Set to Daryl Hall & John Oates’ upbeat 1980s synth-pop song “Out of Touch,” the cheerful music makes the drowning scene absurd and turns failing to swim into a dramatic video-game death gag.
