Environmentalists Come in Different Flavors

Text on the meme

“Oh wow you’re an environmentalist? Me too!” Me: DIGITAL EARTH DAY ACTIVITIES GOOGLE SLIDE ACTIVITIES FOR THE LITTLE LEARNERS BLM ASTROLOGY INDUSTRIAL SOCIETY

What it means

The meme contrasts a young environmental activist and a cartoon girl holding Earth Day, BLM, and astrology materials with a masked figure holding an assault rifle and a power tool. The joke is that “environmentalist” can describe both gentle mainstream activism and radical anti-industrialism, making the second character’s agreement absurd and threatening. It is used as a reaction to exaggerated or unexpectedly extreme environmentalist views.
