EN: The clip set to Christian Salyer’s “Map Muzak” first shows horseback travel through the snowy world of The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, then exploration of a snowy planet in Starfield. Text lists Daggerfall’s advantages before Starfield stops the player with a “BOUNDARY REACHED” message, mocking Starfield’s limited planet boundaries and shallow exploration compared with Daggerfall’s enormous, more systemic world. The calm, slightly melancholic music and repetitive wandering through snow heighten the absurd monotony, making the video useful as a reaction to discussions about freedom of exploration in games.
