Secure the Future of Our People
SECURE THE FUTURE OF OUR PEOPLE
Greta Thunberg sits in a surreal, fantastical landscape wearing camouflage pants and holding a protest sign that says “SECURE THE FUTURE OF OUR PEOPLE.” The joke comes from placing a familiar climate activist in an exaggerated post-apocalyptic or futuristic setting, making the slogan sound like a dramatic survivalist warning. It can be used as an ironic reaction to environmental collapse, dystopian politics, or grandiose activism.
