Maxine's Family Kitchen Work Excuse
ATTENTION ALL EMPLOYEES OF MAXINE’S FAMILY KITCHEN: Calling out because your child is sick is no longer a valid excuse to miss work and will now result in a write up. We do not employ your children and as such their sickness is not an excuse for you to miss work. Go team!
A workplace notice from Maxine’s Family Kitchen says employees can no longer miss work because their child is sick, since the children are not employees. The joke is the absurdly heartless interpretation of workplace policy, making it useful as a reaction to strict bosses or unreasonable rules.
