Thread of Prophecy Severed

Text on the meme

With this character’s death, the thread of prophecy is severed. Restore a saved game to restore the weave of fate, or persist in the doomed world you have created.

What it means

A stern man in sunglasses stands against a bright blue sky while colorful blocks float around him. The caption imitates a dramatic video-game prophecy, joking that the man’s death has broken the storyline and that the player must reload a save or accept a doomed world. It is used as an absurd reaction to someone’s removal, failure, or unexpectedly important departure.
