Wet Spa 1998 Don't Lie

Wet Spa in 2021: "We'll do 3 laps under safety car with no overtakes due to safety conditions" Wet Spa in 1998: "Don't lie" (optional)

The clip contrasts a modern, cautious wet race at Spa, where Formula 1 cars circulate behind the safety car, with chaotic 1998 footage of cars crashing and spinning through heavy rain, ending with a Ferrari driver being helped away. The joke is that the polite safety explanation in 2021 is contrasted with the terrifying reality of 1998, implying that survival was merely “optional.” DZ3’s “Better Off Alone (DZ3 Version)” adds upbeat electronic dance music, making the dangerous crashes absurdly cheerful and heightening the ironic punchline.
