The Modern Society: Armpits and Feet
THE "MODERN" SOCIETY armpits feet
A crude black-and-white cartoon shows one person standing alone beneath “armpits” while a huge crowd queues beneath “feet.” The joke mocks modern society’s strange priorities and conformity, making it useful as an absurd reaction to people choosing an unpleasant or irrational option en masse.
