The shrimp trying to convince My betta to not eat them.

What it means

A colorful betta fish moves around an aquarium filled with several red, black, and blue shrimp, aquatic plants, sand, driftwood, and a small decoration. The joke personifies the shrimp as desperately trying to persuade their predator not to eat them, making it a reaction to futile pleading or being at someone’s mercy.
