Americans Dressed Like Russian Troops

Why Americans Are Dressing Like Russian Troops in Oklahoma In the U.S., the re-enactment of historical battles has long been a niche hobby. But fake battles that echo an ongoing war are a relatively recent phenomenon.

A group of armed Americans in camouflage poses outdoors while holding a Russian-style military flag. The joke comes from the article framing their historical reenactment as resembling Russian troops and an ongoing war, making the scene look unexpectedly topical and absurd. It can be shared as a reaction to people imitating foreign military aesthetics or taking war reenactments too far.
