Married Life
PENTUNGA POS RONDA
EN: This absurd 15.9-second video montage successively shows a shark walking on a beach, an airplane carrying a suspended bomb, a wooden post beside a guard post, a cactus in the desert, a cup of coffee, a pigeon, salt and honey, and finally a peeled banana. Set to the tender, nostalgic music of Michael Giacchino’s “Married Life” from Up, ordinary and bizarrely distorted objects become a comically dramatic gallery of nonsense; the contrast between grand emotional music and surreal images creates the joke. People send this clip as a reaction to something that feels simultaneously epic, strange, and completely meaningless.
