Just Started Listening to Rap

Text on the meme

Just started listening to rap music. I have a lotta catching up to do

What it means

A person watches a vintage black-and-white performance of sharply dressed men on a laptop and jokes that they have only just started listening to rap, so they have decades of music to catch up on. The humor comes from exaggerating how late they are to the genre and treating a huge musical history as homework.
