Dante’s Inferno Featuring Devil May Cry Dante
THE INFERNO Dante Alighieri Featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry Series Introduction and Notes by Peter Bondanella Translated by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
A copy of Dante Alighieri’s The Inferno is shown with a sticker announcing that it features Dante from the Devil May Cry series. The joke is the absurd confusion between the medieval poet’s Dante and the video game character, as if the classic poem had been adapted to include him.
