Kurt Cobain Joins the 27 Club

real photo my friend just sent me from the nirvana exhibit at the museum of pop culture in seattle THE 27 CLUB Kurt Cobain un-alived himself at 27, placing in the company of other artists who passed at same age under tragic circumstances, such as Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Jean-Michel

A photograph shows a museum exhibit label about Kurt Cobain and the 27 Club at Seattle’s Museum of Pop Culture. The joke is that the supposedly real exhibit text uses the internet euphemism “un-alived himself,” making the museum label sound like a meme or social media post. It is shared as a reaction to awkwardly modern or insensitive wording in a serious setting.
