Suicide or Smolensk
S uicide molensk
A tiny man stands at a fork in the road between a polluted industrial wasteland labeled “Suicide” and a bright forest scene labeled “Smolensk.” The joke is a dark pun suggesting that Smolensk is the preferable alternative to suicide, using the split word labels and contrasting scenery as a reaction to an unpleasant choice.
