Girls See Depressed Boy

Text on the meme

Girls when they see depressed girl Girls when they see depressed boy

What it means

A two-panel meme contrasts girls warmly comforting a depressed girl with a blurry, excited-looking animal reacting to a depressed boy. The joke is a sarcastic stereotype about girls showing empathy toward other girls but reacting with enthusiasm or attraction to sad boys, so it is used as an ironic reaction to gender-based double standards.
