The Design of Public Toilets
The design
A woman performs increasingly difficult yoga poses while images of bizarre, cramped, or poorly designed toilets appear above her. The joke is that the toilets are so awkwardly arranged that using them would require extreme flexibility; the final caption, “The design,” sarcastically blames the ridiculous bathroom layout. Soap&Skin’s “Me and the Devil,” with its dark, haunting mood, makes the sequence feel dramatically absurd and heightens the contrast between elegant yoga and terrible toilet design.
