Text on the meme

What it means

A two-panel comparison shows British soldiers happily occupying a neat, well-built German trench, while German soldiers look horrified by the muddy, flooded British trench. The joke contrasts German trench engineering and comfort with the British trench conditions, using exaggerated national stereotypes as a reaction to something unpleasant or poorly maintained.
