I can't believe I let this happen to me. I want to put a warning out there that these scams are happening way too often. I did the Christmas lights at this lady's house and when it was time to get paid, she said she was getting water in her garage and if I could look at it. I told her I have a full-time job and I could only come look at it on nights and weekends. It turned into a big job. I've been working on it on all my spare time to get it done for her. I was getting in the final step since she says that this post is loose, that if I could look at it as well. Then she makes me replace all the posts and railings. If that wasn't enough, she wanted me to add lights to them. Sunday was my last day and I was finishing up and I asked her if it wasn't too much trouble if she could make me lunch. She said no, go buy something. I told her I didn't have any money because she didn't pay me yet. She tells me she isn't gonna pay me and was never gonna pay me. She says since we're married and this is my house too, there's nothing I can do about it. I'm outraged. I don't know what I'm gonna do.
