What it means

A two-panel image contrasts a smiling boy surrounded by classic mobile games with a distressed man surrounded by modern social media apps. The joke is that carefree gaming has been replaced by the exhausting and depressing experience of social media, so it is used as a nostalgic reaction to changing internet culture.
