Girls and Guys on a First Date

Text on the meme

Girls on a first date: I hope he has a steady job I hope he doesn’t live with his mom Guys on a first date: I hope she shows up I hope she doesn’t have a penis

What it means

A four-panel cartoon contrasts women’s practical expectations on a first date with men’s much simpler expectations: that the woman arrives and is not transgender. The joke exaggerates gender stereotypes and uses the contrast between the two halves as the punchline, making it suitable as an ironic reaction to dating standards.
