Bell Curve Programmers Meme

std::string progress(float value) size_t count = ... return std::string(10, ...) private static string ... (double percentage) IQ scale 55 70 85 100 115 130 145 34% 34% 14% 14% 2% 2% 0.1% 0.1%

A bell-curve IQ meme shows three programmers approaching the same coding problem in different ways. The low-IQ and high-IQ figures use simple-looking progress-bar code, while the average programmer uses a more elaborate implementation. The joke is that extreme simplicity and extreme cleverness arrive at the same solution, while the middle approach overcomplicates it.
