EN: In a room covered with anime posters and bedding, a pale man sits hunched over, motionless and dejected. The joke comes from the contrast between the colorful, cute otaku room and the man’s seemingly complete despair, making it useful as a reaction to feeling miserable, hopeless, or isolated in an otaku way. Lê Nhật Quang’s “Rondino” plays in the background, and its elegant, melancholic classical style exaggerates the man’s quiet despair.
