Hypocritical Compassion Argument
Me, a hateful inhuman monster without compassion: “We should not kill babies in the womb.” Loving humanist, heart overflowing with compassion: “OK but what if it’s born poor, crippled, or autistic.”
The meme contrasts a supposedly hateful, heartless person opposing abortion with a supposedly compassionate humanist who becomes selective about which children deserve sympathy after birth. The punchline is a deliberately provocative accusation of hypocrisy aimed at arguments about compassion, abortion, poverty, disability, and autism.
