DIED 1996 BORN 1996 WELCOME BACK BRODSKY

What it means

A black-and-white portrait of Joseph Brodsky, labeled “DIED 1996,” is paired with a photo of a young man labeled “BORN 1996.” The joke implies that the young man is Brodsky reincarnated and has returned. It is used as an absurd reaction to someone who resembles or seems to be the reincarnation of a deceased person.
