Fort Night Misunderstanding

I can’t get over Japanese Elden Ring players being confused over thinking there was a hidden castle somewhere that would only appear at night that they couldn’t find only for the truth to be that it was a bunch of just English players memeing by leaving the message “Fort night”.

A tweet jokes that Japanese Elden Ring players searched for a hidden castle called “Fort Night,” misunderstanding messages left by English-speaking players as a reference to the phrase “Fortnite.” The punchline is the language-based confusion between an in-game location and a gaming meme.
