The Voices Are Calling
the voices
A close-up video shows a woman reclining in pink-purple lighting, tilting her head back and moving as if overwhelmed by an intense, mysterious sensation. The caption “the voices” turns her blissful, trance-like reaction into an absurd joke about hearing intrusive or supernatural voices. Akira Yamaoka’s melancholic, eerie song “Never Forgive Me, Never Forget Me” heightens the dramatic, unsettling mood and makes the reaction feel comically over-serious.
