Average Morning in Australia

Average morning in Australia

What it means

A first-person video game character moves through a rustic shelter and a lush outdoor area while giant spiders, crocodiles, and other dangerous creatures appear around them. The caption exaggerates the stereotype that an ordinary Australian morning is full of deadly wildlife, while Men At Work’s upbeat “Down Under” plays over the escalating chaos, making the danger feel comically cheerful. It works as a reaction to an unexpectedly hazardous or chaotic everyday situation.
