Divisio Imperii Romani
Pars occidentalis Pars orientis PARTITIO IMPERII AD 395 Provincia Dioecesis Provincia praetoria
Mappa Imperii Romani ostenditur, dum Ryan Gosling in duabus partibus musicis opponitur: in parte occidentali gravis et passus apparet, in parte orientali autem Ken hilaris et theatrali modo canit. Iocus est comparatio inter gravitatem Imperii Romani divisi et energiam carminis “I’m Just Ken”, quasi partes occidentalis et orientalis diversa ingenia haberent. EN: A map of the Roman Empire is shown while Ryan Gosling appears in two contrasting musical roles: serious and suffering on the western side, but cheerful and theatrical as Ken on the eastern side. The joke compares the solemn division of the Roman Empire with the energy of “I’m Just Ken,” as if the western and eastern halves had completely different personalities.
