Sad? Watch the YMCA Beach Dance

Text on the meme

Men if you’re sad. Watch this...

What it means

A nighttime beach video begins with a lonely view of the sand and feet, then reveals a growing group of shirtless men dancing and cheering together on the beach. Set to the upbeat disco song “YMCA” by Village People, the clip turns sadness into an absurdly joyful group dance, making it a reaction video for cheering someone up.
