Lex Luthor smugly adjusts his tie while claiming that making Superman’s son gay has prevented future Kryptonian offspring and therefore saved humanity. The joke parodies a villain’s absurdly elaborate plan and uses fictional reproductive logic as an ironic explanation for “saving” humanity.
