Orangutan Finds Teddy on the Floor
when i wake up from a nap and find my teddy on the floor
An orangutan slowly looks upward with an increasingly stunned, distressed expression after waking from a nap and discovering that its teddy bear has fallen onto the floor. The joke exaggerates the panic and heartbreak of finding a beloved comfort object displaced, while Ethel Cain’s dark, intense song “Ptolemaea” makes the trivial situation feel dramatically horrifying. The clip works as a reaction to disproportionate emotional distress or waking up to a personal disaster.
