Scientists Dying for Democracy

Even Scientists are dying for democracy... what are you doing ?

A third-person video-game character fires and throws explosives around a chaotic, smoky facility while a blue-suited scientist wanders into danger and appears to die. The caption jokingly treats the scientist’s reckless sacrifice as dying for democracy, while the repeated “what are you doing ?” mocks the player’s absurd behavior. Chad Kroeger featuring Josey Scott’s dramatic rock song “Hero (Motion Picture Version)” plays over the destruction, making the scene feel overly heroic and turning the disastrous gameplay into an ironic action-movie moment.
