From Straight Girl to Solid Snake

2019 she/her straight 2021 they/them lesbian BIG BOSS SOLID SNAKE

The video starts with an anime-style girl labeled “2019 she/her straight,” then switches to “2021 they/them lesbian” before escalating through dramatic Metal Gear-style shots and ending on Solid Snake imagery. The joke is an exaggerated transformation meme about a change in identity becoming increasingly intense and masculine, with the serious action footage making the contrast absurd. Duran Duran’s synth-pop/new-wave song “Invisible” plays throughout, giving the montage a stylish, dramatic mood that heightens the punchline.
