When the Fight Wasn't Over

Text on the meme

When you thought the fight was over...

What it means

A heavily armed sci-fi soldier moves through a dark industrial area and emerges into a vast red battlefield, where an enormous crowd of enemies is still waiting. The footage then crossfades with Dave Grohl, turning the endless second wave into a dramatic, absurd reaction to the lyric-driven intensity of Foo Fighters’ “Everlong”; the music makes the supposedly finished battle feel epic and doomed.
