Pain Scale Hits the Floor

No Pain Mild Moderate Severe Very Severe Worst Pain Possible Nothing wrong with me Nothing wrong with me Something’s got to give Something’s got to give NOOOOOOOOOW LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR! LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR! LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR!

A colorful pain scale shows increasingly distressed faces, ending with a crying red face screaming “NOOOOOOOOOW” and repeating the lyric “LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR!” The joke mixes a medical pain chart with the aggressive chorus from Drowning Pool’s song “Bodies,” implying that extreme pain has turned into chaotic heavy-metal melodrama. It is used as a reaction to escalating discomfort, stress, or suffering.
