What it means

A collage presents an anime elitist’s taste through a grid of acclaimed, obscure, and psychologically intense anime series and films, including Monster, Ping Pong, Paranoia Agent, and Belladonna of Sadness. The joke is that the person is portrayed as smugly choosing “deep” or avant-garde anime instead of mainstream favorites, so the image is sent as a reaction to someone displaying pretentious anime preferences.
