Russian Friend at the Front
I found out my russian friend got mobilized, so I messaged him to see if he's still alive. He said he's fine but the situation is pretty bad, he's staying in a freezing dugout with dunks and junkies, shitting in the bushes, mud and garbage everywhere. The best food he gets is cold mashed potato, and there's issues getting clean water, so they have to drink from a stagnant pond, and he's not showered in a month. I asked how long he's been at the front, he said he's leaving from home tomorrow.
A forum post describes a supposedly mobilized Russian friend living in horrific trench conditions at the front: freezing shelter, drug users, mud, garbage, poor food, stagnant water, and no showers. The punchline is that after all this, the friend says he is only leaving home tomorrow, revealing the entire story was an exaggerated misunderstanding. It is used as an absurd reaction to someone dramatically overstating a situation.
