Staying In Tonight

“I don’t feel like going out tonight” – lame – unoriginal – puts the blame on you “For now, my place is here” – surprising – philosophical – you answer to a higher power

A black text meme contrasts the ordinary excuse “I don’t feel like going out tonight” with the more philosophical “For now, my place is here.” The joke is that staying home sounds boring when framed as an excuse, but profound and almost spiritual when phrased dramatically. It is sent as a reaction when someone wants to stay in and jokingly presents it as a deep life choice.
