Leaving School Like a Warzone

Text on the meme

as I walk through the exit door of my school after I fully finish school(i can’t do this anymore)

What it means

A first-person video walks out through a school exit into an orange, devastated-looking landscape with leafless trees, rubble, and a large truck. The caption compares graduating or finally finishing school to escaping an apocalypse, making the melodramatic exhaustion absurdly intense. Cigarettes After Sex’s dreamy, melancholic song “Heavenly” heightens the dramatic feeling and turns an ordinary exit into an emotional end-of-the-world scene.
