A mock condolence announcement from Duolingo claims that Duo, the green owl mascot, has died. The message jokes that he died waiting for the user to complete a lesson, then turns the tragedy into a subscription pitch for Duolingo Max and absurdly refers to Dua Lipa’s privacy.
