Superman Saves the Bike Ride

Text on the meme

Lex Luthor

What it means

A person rides a bicycle along a park path and nearly collides with a man, causing the camera to spin and crash. The clip cuts to drawings of Superman carrying a woman, then Lex Luthor lying on the ground beside a fallen bicycle, turning the accident into a superhero gag: the rider imagines himself as Superman, while the person he hit becomes his nemesis. David Bowie’s “Starman” plays, giving the chaotic crash a grand, ironic, spacey glam-rock soundtrack.
