Accidentally Autistic Protagonists

game writers trying to make a badass stoic protagonist but accidentally making him autistic is my favorite phenomenon

A four-panel collage shows stoic video game protagonists: Venom Snake, Solid Snake, Gordon Freeman, and Kazuma Kiryu. The joke is that writers aim to create intimidating, emotionally restrained heroes, but their unusual behavior and intense focus make them read as autistic instead. It is shared as a humorous reaction to fictional characters with stereotypically autistic traits.
