Crosswalk Hero Saves the Day

CROSSWALK HERO MAMBO AS MADE FAMOUS BY FLAMINGOSIS, 2017 WALK

A person presses and turns the controls of a sidewalk game called “Crosswalk Hero” while a car passes a real zebra crossing. The game uses upbeat rhythm-game music as the player guides a character across the virtual road, turning an ordinary pedestrian signal into an absurd arcade performance; by the end, the real crossing signal shows WALK. It is a playful reaction meme about treating crossing the street like a high-stakes video game.
