You Died, But the Cat Fell in Love

YOU DIED

EN: On a television screen, a glowing ghostly skull appears in the grass, then a small kitten falls beside it and gazes at it sweetly. Hearts and blush marks appear over the kitten, turning the “YOU DIED” caption into an absurd romantic scene after death. Yuki Koyanagi’s gentle soul-jazz version of “Summertime” creates a dramatic yet comic contrast with the video-game death caption and the lovestruck kitten; people send this clip as a reaction to ridiculous tragedy or sudden infatuation.
