Less-Lethal Toy Takedown

Text on the meme

Hey, drop it, drop it sir, drop it. *Less-lethal*

What it means

Police body-camera footage shows officers confronting a shirtless man in a residential street after he appears to hold a small toy gun. The dramatic orchestral music, Howard Shore’s “The Bridge of Khazad-dûm,” makes the takedown feel absurdly epic, while the “Less-lethal” caption reveals that the supposedly dangerous weapon is just a bright green toy. It works as a reaction to situations that are treated with comically excessive seriousness.
