Masking My True Form
When people ask me why I wear a mask, I say it's for safety. What they don't know is that I'm protecting myself from being turned black or chinese at any given moment. I am constantly in hiding.
A social media post shows a masked person wearing round glasses and hiding behind long hair. The joke is an absurd, offensive fantasy about changing identity or appearance, using the mask as protection from suddenly transforming. It is shared as an edgy reaction to concealment, paranoia, or bizarre self-protection.
