The Matrix Is a Trans Allegory
Why The Matrix is the perfect trans allegory
A split-screen video pairs a serious image of Keanu Reeves with footage of Neo running, leaping, and falling between skyscrapers in The Matrix. The joke contrasts an earnest claim that The Matrix is a trans allegory with increasingly dramatic, absurd action footage, making the explanation feel comically overblown. The clip is set to “Free your mind” by sterzhen, whose intense electronic mood amplifies the mock-epic punchline.
