Young Hopeful Leon vs Older Leon
Me (young, naive): I hope something good happens Me (now): I hope whatever bad thing happens is at least funny
Two versions of Leon Kennedy are shown: a younger, hopeful Leon and an older, more hardened Leon. The joke contrasts youthful optimism with the cynical hope that, if something bad happens, it will at least be entertaining. It is used as a reaction to worsening circumstances or accepting misfortune with dark humor.
