Germany in WWI Cough Cough

Germany in WW1: We won't tolerate the use of shotguns because they are cruel weapons that cause unnecessary suffering. Also Germany in WW1: *Cough Cough*

A black-and-white World War I photo shows soldiers releasing a huge cloud of gas from a container in a field. The joke contrasts Germany condemning shotguns as cruel with its own use of chemical warfare, while “Cough Cough” sarcastically points to the hypocrisy.
